Dr. Rhoda Saunders Biography

Rhoda Saunders, PAD is a Quality and Systems Improvement Director with the American Heart Association. Rhoda works directly with hospitals and healthcare teams to formulate project goals and develop project strategy. She also monitors hospitals performance to ensure high quality treatment and care for stroke and heart failure patients for 146 hospitals in North and Central Florida.


Since the age of 6, when she lined up her dolls for a check-up, Rhoda has been involved in a personal campaign to keep "everyone as healthy as possible". Moving through life with the motto," Health is the road to happiness." Rhoda has held various positions in the healthcare industry all with an emphasis on developing and maintaining high quality community healthcare.


Dr. Saunders's educational background includes a Master's from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia and a Doctorate in Training and Performance Improvement from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Hollins University in Hollins, Virginia.
