Ric Mathis has been an environmental public health professional with the Department of Health for over 25 years. He has worked in a variety of public health disciplines, including, but not limited to, ensuring sanitation and safety requirements for food and housing establishments, ensuring water quality, and performing soil analysis for ensuring ground water safety. His duties have ranged from field inspections to the promulgation of administrative code requirements to statewide program management.

Currently, Mr. Mathis is the Environmental Public Health Administrator for the Department of Health in St. Johns County. Ric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Florida.
